In recent years many people have fallen prey to alcohol addiction, but fortunately the majority of them have been able to recover by going through alcohol treatment programs. When alcoholics are fresh out of rehab centers they can be mentally weak. However if their near and dear ones fail to understand this fact and start celebrating with alcoholic beverages there is high possibility of recovered alcoholics going back into addiction.
- Alcoholism can cause the addicted individual to become detached from society becomes it can be very hard for them to interact with people. This is the reason people face mental pressure when they are reintegrating with society. They consider themselves failures that are weak and worthless, and this negative self-image can lead to them having troubled relationships with society. The stress and pressure of such difficult relationships can also push recovered alcoholics to take up drinking again.
